You might be saying, “Jill, I thought we were done with the ‘new year, new me’ posts.” Well, since this is a new home on the web, I thought I’d go through my goals for the year. I have some personal goals, family goals, and project goals. I don’t do resolutions. I prefer to make it positive and strive for something. I love a good checklist so marking a goal complete is an added bonus for me.

Personal Goals

  • I really want to read more this year. My goal was based on last year’s book count without setting a goal. Towards the end of summer, I started diving back into novels via audiobook and on my iPad. I read or listened to (mostly read) 32 books from July to December. Honestly, that number seems like a lot but I’ll turn on a book when I am working on tasks that are tedious. This year’s number is 50. I’m at 2…in mid-February. So… I better start catching up. However, I want it to be fun and not stressful so if I don’t make it, it’s fine. I’ll make though.
  • Walk daily…at least 10k steps.
  • Get back into a workout routine.

Home Project Goals

  • AJ’s room refresh
  • Our bedroom
  • Finish bathrooms
  • Caulking…lots of caulking
  • Paint trim
  • Paint doors
  • Install lattice outdoors

Stay tuned for a comprehensive list with a timeline.
